What CM Home Care sells
CM Home Care sells space and a diary. It gives cleaners and cleaning companies a page to describe themselves, a way to be found, and a calendar to organise their bookings. It gives clients a place to look, to compare, and to make contact.
That is the whole of what we sell. We are not the cleaner, we are not the employer, and we are not a party to the job you agree. The work, the price, the standard and the payment are between you and the person or company you choose.
We do not check, rate, or vouch for anyone
Everything on a provider's page — their description, their experience, their services, their prices, their licences, their insurance, their checks — is what that provider told us. We publish it. We do not verify it, we do not investigate it, and we cannot confirm it is true.
We do not screen profiles, we do not vet histories, and we do not assess anyone's honesty, competence or suitability. If a provider's page carries a certificate number or an expiry date, that is a claim they made, shown to you so you can ask them about it — not a check we performed.
Satisfy yourself before you book. Ask for documents, ask for references, and ask whatever else you would ask before letting someone into your home. We cannot do that for you and we do not pretend to.
Money: we do not hold it and we do not move it
The client pays the provider directly. Payment for the cleaning does not pass through CM Home Care. We do not collect it, hold it, split it, or forward it, and we never have it in our accounts.
That means:
- If a client does not pay, that is between the client and the provider. We are not a guarantor, a collector, or an escrow. We have no funds to release and none to withhold.
- Tax on the job is the provider's. Invoices, GST and income from the cleaning belong to whoever did the work — or to their company. We do not issue them and we are not party to them.
- Refunds and disputes about the work are settled between the client and the provider. We can show you what was booked and when; we cannot decide who is right.
Payment links, when a provider turns one on
A provider may switch on a payment link — either their own, or one this platform generates inside their own account with their payment provider. In both cases:
- The money goes straight to the provider. It does not pass through CM Home Care at any point. We do not receive it, hold it, or forward it.
- Refunds are theirs. If you need money back, you deal with the provider, not with us. We cannot reverse a payment we never received, and we do not mediate that conversation.
- Receipts, invoices and tax on the job are theirs.
- We do not guarantee the service was or will be carried out. Showing a link is not an endorsement, a warranty, or a form of escrow.
What we charge the provider for this is a fee for keeping the feature switched on — and, where the integration lets us see a payment, a small integration fee. That is our only interest in it.
Payments between a company and the people who work with it
When a company pays a professional on its roster, that payment happens between them, outside this platform. We do not transfer it, hold it, calculate it, or schedule it.
They may both record it here: the company states what it paid, and the professional confirms receiving it or says what is wrong. Those are two statements, not a verification. We do not look at any bank account, we do not reconcile anything, and we do not decide who is right. The record is theirs; the checking, if any is needed, is theirs too.
What CM Home Care charges
We charge providers for using the platform — a plan, a fee per booking, or both, depending on the plan they chose. Every plan states its price, how often it is charged, and its cancellation window before it is accepted, and every charge appears on the provider's account statement.
This charge is for the diary and the listing space. It is owed whether or not the client pays the provider, and whether or not the job goes ahead — for exactly the reason above: we are not part of that transaction, so its outcome is not ours to carry. Some plans charge when a booking is made rather than when it is completed; the plan says which, before you accept it.
Cancellations
Each provider sets their own cancellation terms with their client, and those are between them.
Separately, a provider's plan may have its own notice window for the platform's fee. Cancelling earlier than that window costs nothing; cancelling later may still be charged. The window is stated in the plan.
We are not responsible for cancellations. A client who changes their mind, a provider who cannot come, an illness, a car that will not start — none of these are ours, and we do not compensate for them.
Your right to work, and your hours
The platform does not track or manage anyone's permitted working hours. If you are on a student visa or any other visa with a limit on how much you may work, keeping within that limit is entirely your own responsibility. The same goes for your right to work in Australia at all, and for any licence your work requires.
The diary here is a diary. It counts your bookings; it does not know your visa conditions, it does not warn you, and it will not stop you. Do not rely on it for that.
Your rights as a consumer
Under the Australian Consumer Law, services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded: they must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose you asked about, and be delivered in a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away, and nothing here should be read as trying to.
Those guarantees attach to the service that is supplied. For the cleaning, that is the provider. For the listing and diary you buy from us, that is us.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your login. Each person who needs access gets their own account — sharing a password is never required and never advisable. You can see who has access to your area and remove it at any time.
What not to put in the system
Do not enter sensitive personal information you were not asked for — health details, government identifiers, financial records. Where the system needs something sensitive, such as how to get into a property, there is a dedicated field for it, encrypted and shown only to the assigned cleaner within the window of the booking. Do not put those details in free-text notes or in chat.
What you publish is yours
Providers are responsible for everything on their own page: the claims, the prices, the photographs, and the accuracy of all of it. We do not review it before it goes up. If something there is false, misleading, or infringes someone's rights, that is the provider's doing and the provider's liability — tell us and we will look at it, but we do not warrant any of it.
Changes to these terms
Each version is dated and kept. When they change in a way that affects you, you will be asked to read and accept the new version, and the acceptance is recorded.
